Hi! I’m Mason,

I graduated from the University of Utah in 2023 with a BA in Communication and a journalism emphasis. While at the U, I interned with The Daily Utah Chronicle, gaining hands-on experience creating graphics and layouts for both print and digital formats. This foundation in visual storytelling, time management and software such as Photoshop and InDesign, sparked a desire to continue working in a space that allows for the combination of both written and visual communication.

Now based in Portland, Maine, I work as the Marketing and Communications Content VISTA for the Portland Public Schools District. In this role I support the district’s outreach through the monthly district newsletter, staff bulletin, social media and other multimedia content—regularly attending school/district events to capture photo and video content

I love all the things outdoors—from hiking and snowshoeing to camping and river rafting! In my free time you can find me outside, on the yoga mat or attempting to knit a new sweater!
